New member on Morgan City Council

Bonnie Leonard, shown here with Councilman Tim Hymel, is the newest member of the Morgan City Council. Mayor Lee Dragna appointed Leonard, and the appointment was confirmed by the council Tuesday. She will serve until the current term ends after the November council elections in place of Mark Stephens, who resigned effective Monday to take a private sector job. Leonard's oath of office was administered by her husband, District Judge Ed Leonard.
