  • Boy Scout Troop 242, chartered by the American Legion Post 242 in Calumet, visited Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla., during spring break. The boys, along with siblings, were invited to attend a special program offered by Disney Youth Educational Series titled Introduction to Global Citizenship at Epcot. They learned about the cultures, history, politics, diversity and demographics-geography of several countries represented at EPCOT. Boys ages 11 to 17 can call for information on how to join Troop 242 at no cost. Call 985-992-0703.   • The Junior Auxiliary of East St. Mary has partnered with the three junior high schools in the Tri-City area to reward students exhibiting good character in a program called JA Gems. The following students were chosen for the third nine-weeks at Morgan City Junior High School. All of the students selected will be invited to a banquet in their honor. From left are honorees Kathyrn Stadalis, MaKenna Landry and Tirth Patel.
