Turning right off of La. 317 in Centerville and onto Alice C Road this past weekend I noticed the air suddenly filled with the putrid smell of rotting carcasses.
Last week while my neighbor down the street, Gilbert Ramagos, was cleaning his yard, he got a big surprise. A snake came crawling out from under a dog house that he was moving.

This past summer, in early August, I spent a day fishing largemouth bass on Black Lake near Natchitoches.
