The Garage

When you need a tune-up or new brakes, you don’t have to wait around for a special deal because “Every day is your day at The Garage.”

That’s the motto of the repair shop opened this January by Trina Rohner and Nancy Knight at the corner of Martha Berry Boulevard and John Davenport Drive.

“Our customers are special every time they come in, and our prices are set to reflect that,” Rohner says.

While the business is new, Rohner and most of her me-chanics have been at the former Heritage Nissan site since 1994 as part of the team.

When Heritage closed, she and Knight converted the build-ing to The Garage – a clean and welcoming repair center with professional staff and a retro feel. It’s a state-of-the-art automotive shop, with offerings from major repairs down to tire rotations and oil changes.

“We do everything but body work,” Rohner explains.

There are lots of little extras, too, that are designed with the customer’s convenience in mind. A driver is available to take you home or to work, and pick you up when your car is ready. Or you can relax with a cup of coffee and television in the light and airy, enclosed waiting room while the kids amuse themselves in the well-stocked playroom.

Rohner said she and Knight strive to provide an atypical garage setting: A comfort zone for both people who know their engines well and those who just want to hear that reas-suring purr when they turn the ignition key.
