‘National Night Out’ at Pecot Park set Aug. 2

Franklin Pecot Park Neighborhood Committee will join forces with thousands of communities across the nation for the “28th Annual National Night Out” crime and drug prevention event on Tuesday, Aug. 2.

The event will be held in Pecot Park in the Talbot and Eagle streets neighborhood from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.

The residents of Franklin and the Pecot Park neighborhood will partner with local law enforcement agencies and emergency responders to showcase the importance of police-community partnerships and citizen involvement in the fight to build a safer community.

The event will feature games for kids of all ages, music and refreshments. The public is invited to attend to send a message to criminals that the community is organized and fighting back.
