Results for the Singles for Dollars Horseshoe Tournament at Kemper Williams Park near Patterson held Nov. 17 are as follows.

Diamonds Class: first place, Kevin Dore’ Sr. of Patterson, 5-0 record, 31.9 percent; second place, Sharla Fontenot of Lacassine, 3½-1½ record, 37.5 percent; third place, Tim Gilmore of Bayou Vista, 3-2 record, 47.5 percent.

Hearts Class: first, Mary Begnaud of Lacassine, 5-1, 43.7; second, Greg Augustine of Harahan, 4-2, 31.2; third, Dudley Michel of Bayou Vista, 2-3, 48.0.

Begnaud defeated Augustine in a 40 shoe playoff game after being tied up after regulation.

Clubs Class: first, Judy Dore’of Patterson, 5-0, 37.5; second, Benita Williams of Sulphur, 4-1, 7.5; third, Jimmy Percle of Morgan City, 2-3, 31.7.

Spades Class: first, Gary Verheidt of Harahan, 5-1, 24.2; second, Bobbie Richard of Church Point, 4-2, 44.2; third, Linda Dodson of Morgan City, 3-2, 41.0.

Verheidt defeated Richard in a 40 shoe playoff game after being tied up in regulation.

The format of the tournament was a blind draw, handicap, count all. The winners of each class would advance to the finals for another round robin for the tournament championship.
