‘Top Cops’ honored Monday

Local law enforcement officers were recognized Monday with Top Cop awards by the St. Mary MADD chapter and Red Ribbon committee for their efforts in reducing the number of impaired drivers. Above from the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office are Patrol Commander Capt. Jonathan Booth and Deps. Jason Javier with four DWI arrests and Chris Wilson with six arrests. Below from the State Police Troop I are Lt. J.D. Fail and troopers Todd Pellerin with 10 arrests, Scott Verret with 21 and Scott Smith with 24. There were a total of 160 DWI arrests in St. Mary Parish from Nov. 1, 2011 to Nov. 1, 2012.

State troopers, except for the one on the far right, way too heavy. Need to diet beforeany heart attacks.
