Patterson High School moved up one spot, while Central Catholic continued its downward spiral in the Louisiana Sports Writers Association’s week 2 high school football polls.

Patterson (1-1) moved up to No. 9 after its 40-32 victory against Central Lafourche at home Friday, while Central Catholic (0-2) fell out of the Top 10 from No. 10 to now receiving votes (three) after its 44-2 loss at White Castle Friday.

Patterson will continue its non-district schedule Friday with a road trip to St. James, while Central Catholic will travel to Berwick Friday for another non-district contest.

In other non-district action, Morgan City will host Sarah Reed Friday.

All games will begin at 7 p.m.
