Patterson went 2-0 in the Franklin jamboree Saturday with shutout victories against Franklin and Hanson.

The Lumberjills defeated Franklin 11-0, with Carissa Fontenot earning the win.

In the second game against Hanson, Arianna Ross had a huge game as she went 2-for-2 with two home runs and six RBI.

Taylor Hall earned the victory against Hanson.

The Lumberjills will begin their regular season today when they host Central Lafourche. Varsity is set for 4 p.m. with junior varsity to follow.

Elsewhere Monday, Berwick’s junior varsity softball squad fell to Catholic High-

New Iberia, 11-9, on the road.

Berwick’s varsity squad will open its season today on the road against Ascension

Catholic at 4 p.m., while Morgan City will host Thibodaux at 4 p.m. and Central Catholic will host Ellender at 4 p.m. in Bayou Vista. Central Catholic’s junior will follow the varsity contest.
