Big second and third quarters by Hanson doomed Patterson Wednesday at the Hanson tournament as Patterson fell, 54-22.

Trailing Hanson just 8-4 after a quarter, the Lumberjills struggled in the next two quarters as they were outscored 14-5 in the second and 25-2 in the third to put the game out of reach.

Patterson was able to outscore Hanson, 11-5, in the final period.

Leading contributors for Patterson were Jazmin Evans, six points, one rebound, a steal and a block; Tiera Butler, four points, six rebounds and a steal; Nakia Brooks. four points, a rebound, a steal and a block; Tala Johnson, three points, five rebounds and a steal; and Gaylen Grogan, three points and five rebounds.

Patterson will return to action in the tournament Saturday at 12:30 p.m.
