Invest 90L, also known as the Son of Isaac, is still spinning over the Gulf of Mexico just south of the the Alabama coast and Florida Panhandle.

The remnant of Isaac dumped five to 10 inches of rain on part of Alabama on Tuesday.

The National Hurricane Center on Wednesday morning gave the system a 20 percent chance of developing into a tropical depression by Friday.

Should it do so, it will get a new name should that happen.

With Leslie and Michael claimed by current storms in the Atlantic, the next available name is Nadine, though it seems either Esau or Jacob would be more proper.
