De Primeaux says when her daughter stepped off the bus, she was holding a handful of tissue to stop her nose from bleeding. The daughter told her mother the bloody nose was a result of being slapped three times by another student.
After bringing her to the Kaplan hospital for X-Rays, it was determined she had a fractured nose. Primeaux then filed a complaint with the Kaplan Police.
After interviewing the girl accused of hitting the Primeaux girl, Chief of Police Boyd Adams says she was charged with simple battery.
The case now goes to the district attorney.
