Fresh, ripe tomatoes, both red and green varieties, are in abundance at the Franklin Farmers’ Market. Other fresh vegetables available right now include cucumbers, okra, white and yellow squash and zucchini. Cantaloupes and melons will be arriving soon. There’s also plenty of canned fruit and vegetables, breads, cookies, pralines, homemade products and arts and craft items. Hours at the market on willow Street are 8 a.m. to noon on Saturdays and noon to 4 p.m. on Tuesdays.
