THE BAYOU TECHE BLACK BEAR Festival Miss Pageant was held Saturday, April 7 at the Lamp Post in Franklin. The newly crowned queen, who will begin her reign on Saturday, April 20 at 5 p.m. at the festival, is Miss Robin Nicole Marcel. Robin is the daughter of Robby and Yvonne Marcel of Morgan City and a senior at Nicholls State University. The First Runner-up is Miss Alexandra (Allie) Chellette and the Second Runner-Up is Miss Joaja Wilson. The Bayou Teche Black Bear Festival will be held April 20 - 22 in downtown Franklin. Everyone is invited to come and welcome the new queen and have fun. There will be plenty for everyone to do.
