The first round of the Louisiana High School Boys and Girls Playoffs were announced Friday with the bidistrict round with four local teams earning berths.

In the Girls action, the Hanson Memorial Lady Tigers and the West St. Mary Lady Wolfpack earned berths while the West St. Mary Wolfpack and the Centerville Bulldogs gained entry in the Boys action.

In Class 2A, No. 18 seed West St. Mary Lady Wolfpack will travel to face Doyle tonight beginning at 6 in Livingston, Louisiana.

In Class 1A, No. 12 seed HMS Lady Tigers will play No. 21 seed Block High School tonight at 6 at the Franklin Senior High Shool Gym. The game will be played at Franklin High School because the Krewe of Sucrose will be in the Billy Gene Talbot Gymnasium.

In Class 2A Boy action, No. 14 seed West St. Mary Wolfpack will host Menard on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the WSMHS Gymnasium.

In Class B, No. 18 seed Centerville Bulldogs will travel to face off against No. 15 seed Avoyelles Public Charter on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
