THE CATHOLIC DAUGHTERS OF THE AMERICAS, Court Sacre’ #2572, of Baldwin (above) held their annual mass on Monday, August 15, on the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The court’s chaplain, Reverend Greg Cormier was the celebrant. The Catholic Daughters of the Americas strives to embrace the principle of faith working through love in the promotion of justice, equality and the advancement of human rights and dignity for all. The court’s officers and chaplain pictured below from left are (seated) Vice Regent Cynthia Metz, Reverend Cormier, Regent Bernice M. Broussard, (standing) Treasurer Sandra Payton and Financial Secretary Ella Bertrand. Missing from the picture is Recording Secretary Carey Martin. The court’s next monthly meeting will be held Thursday, September 1 at Legros Hall in Baldwin. All Catholic women over the age of 18 are invited to join.
