Only Cleco customers are eligible to apply and must meet certain income guidelines to qualify.
Cleco Care is a 25 percent discount off the fuel charge for the months of July, August and September next summer. The income guidelines are:
Number in household and gross income per month:
1, $1719; 2, $2,248; 3, $2,777; 4, $3,305 and 5, $3,834.
To apply the following information is required: Current proof of income (last four pay stubs, SSI, SSA, retirement, VA, etc.); identification for applicant; Social Security cards for everyone in the household or food stamp statement from the last 30 days; Cleco bill and an additional bill or documentation verifying residency.
Applications are being taken at the Baldwin Community Center, St. Mary CAA Central Office in Franklin, the AARP building in Morgan City all from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays and on Wednesdays only at the Patterson Community Center from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
