—Donald Bernard Williams, 28, of Calbert Street, Franklin, arrested Thursday at 10:11 p.m. on a warrant for loud music. Released on a $400 bond.
—Theodore M. Harris, 26, of Grace Street, Morgan City, arrested on Martin Luther King Street today, at 1:01 a.m. on charges of resisting an officer by failure to comply, resisting an officer by force, resisting an officer by flight and possession of marijuana. Still incarcerated with no bond set as of press time.
According to Police Chief Marc Folse of the Morgan City Police Department, there were four arrests over the last 24 hours.
—Enrique Zuno, 44, of Chestnut Drive, Morgan City, arrested Thursday at 1:13 p.m. and charged with identity theft. MCPD detectives were contacted by the Whittier Police Department in California of an identity theft case they were working at that agency. They were able to track down a suspect to Morgan City.
Investigators learned that the suspect had listed an address on Aucoin Street and that he worked at a local business. Detectives were able to identify Zuno as the suspect and he was brought in for questioning. Zuno was using the Social Security number of a relative to get credit card accounts. Zuno had been doing so since the later part of 2011. The victim discovered the discrepancies when he had a credit report run. The total of the theft was $7,583.00.
Zuno was arrested, booked and incarcerated with no bond set at this time.
—Marbel Cotto, 48, of Odile Street, Amelia, arrested Thursday at 2:08 p.m. and charged with hit and run, careless operation and no driver’s license. MCPD was advised of a vehicle crash at Greenwood Street and Victor II Boulevard. While en route, they were advised that one of the vehicles was leaving the scene. A description was given and the vehicle was located near Brashear and Federal avenues. Booked and incarcerated with no bond set at this time.
—Marshall Spires, 45, of Teche Road, Morgan City, arrested Thursday at 3:30 p.m. and charged with a warrant for probation violation. Posted a $5,000 bond and released.
—Miseal Garcia, 22, of Lakeview Drive, Amelia, arrested Thursday at 9:26 p.m. and charged with resisting an officer by false information, warrant for probation violation and failure to appear in court. Incarcerated with no bond set at this time.
