Arlana Shields and Adriane Kramer, from far right respectively, represented the City of Franklin at the Acadiana Center Oct. 24 for the Arts Decentralized Arts Funding Fiscal Year 2012 Awards Celebration in Lafayette. The City of Franklin received funding for its “Bayou Beau Arts and Dance Program.” The program includes dance and fine arts classes conducted by local artists and the Promenade d’Art de Franklin (Franklin Art Walk), which pairs local and regional artists with Main Street merchants for an evening of art and shopping. Decentralized Arts Funding is supported by a grant from the Louisiana Division of the Arts, Office of Cultural Development, Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism in cooperation with the Louisiana State Arts Council as administered by the Acadiana Center for the Arts.
