A class will be considered closed when the open and the waiting list spots are filled. Those on the waiting list will be contacted if there is a change in a class’s enrollment.
In-person registration is in the Office of Community Development on the second floor of City Hall on Iberia Street.
Instructions for e-mail registration are on the City of Franklin’s website (www.franklin-la.com). Click on the “Events Calendar.” Go to the month of May and click on “May 1” for complete instructions.
Parents and guardians will receive an e-mail if their child is registered, if information is missing, if their child is on the wait list, or if a class is closed. The time stamp on the e-mail will be used as the order by which to enroll students. If information is missing, parents and guardians will receive an e-mail and must submit the missing information as soon as possible to make sure their child is registered.
The fine arts classes will be taught at Franklin Recreation Center for young people 13 to 18 years old. The drawing classes and encaustics classes will take place July 14, 21 and 28 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Acrylics will be July 26-27 from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and from 9 a.m to 12 p.m. July 28.
The Bayou Beaux Arts and Dance Program will host its dance performance and art show on Aug. 4 at 5 p.m. at Broussard-Harris Recreation Center.
