Techeland Arts Council will be having auditions for its “No Hitchin’” production Tuesday and Wednesday.

The auditions are at 6 p.m. at the Lamp Post, located on the corner of Main Street and Jackson Street in Franklin.

The performance is entitled “Bayou Storm Rising” and is a brand-new, original folk-history musical revue.

It was written by local writers Sue Davis and Roger Stouff. “Bayou Storm Rising” tells the story of a unique community and its people as they prepare to meet — and emerge victorious over — the flukiness (and sometimes fickleness) of nature and of life, while coming to terms with their shared history, their heritage and themselves.

The cast is comprised of approximately 10 males and six females of a variety of ages with three children ages 6-12.

The performance will be held in the Teche Theater Jan. 25 -27 and 29-30.
