A memorial service is set for Barbara Jean LaRose Carter, 86, a native of Houma and a resident of Henderson, Texas who died Jan. 25 in Henderson.
She was the daughter of Frances George LaRose Sr. and Alva Leview Larose.
She is survived by a son, David Carter, of Waskom, Texas and a daughter, Kay Lewis and her husband, Willie, of Henderson, Texas, as well as six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Barbara lived in Franklin for some 30 years.
There will be a funeral mass in Houma at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral at 10 a.m. Monday.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to any hospice.
