BHS cross country finishes second at district

Berwick’s boys cross-country team recently finished second in the District 9-3A cross country meet held Monday in Erath.

All seven schools in the district were represented and Berwick’s Bryce Mayon excelled with a second place finish in the individual competition.

Mayon ran the three mile course in 17 minutes, 41 seconds; Neal Theriot was fifth with a 18:13; Cameron Perera was 12th with a 19:15; Josiah Gier was 16th with a 19:41; Ryan Davidson was 21st with a 20:17; Chad Vining finished 26th with a 20:52; Andre Adams was 29th with a 21:12 and Jason Cavalier finished 34th with a 22:00.

Theriot and Mayon both made the All-District team for finishing in the top 10 individually.

Patterson’s Jonathan Jeffcoat also made the All-District team after finishing third with an 18:02.

The Lady Panthers sent two runners to the district meet.

Claire Parsiola finished fifth with a time of 21:57, and Anne Lee Parsiola placed 10th with a time of 24:11.

Both girls made the All-District team for their top 10 finishes.
