BVGC members visit blueberry farm

SEVERAL BAYOU Vista Garden Club members enjoyed “sweet pickins” on a field trip to Blue Harvest Farms in Covington. Blue Harvest Farms is one of many Louisiana pick-your-own farms that are open to the public. At Blue Harvest, the berries are cultivated on seven acres without the use of chemicals, which allows for “a taste from the bush.” From left are BVGC’s Dawn Thomason, Jennie Aucoin, Jean Chauvin, Donna Bucci and Jo Ann Ryan.
