Barbara Blanco Suarez, 68, a native and lifelong resident of Morgan City, passed away Monday, Dec. 26, 2011, at Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City.

Barbara is survived by her son, Freddy Bazor of Patterson; her two brothers, Ronald Blanco Sr. and his wife Jessie of Bayou Vista and Earl Blanco and his wife Mary of Morgan City; four nephews, Earl Blanco Jr., Gene Blanco, Clarence Blanco and Ronald Blanco Jr.; four nieces, Mathilda Blanco, Penny Hatcher, Amber Blanco and Casey Blanco; one grandson, Devin Metrejean of Patterson; and another grandchild on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Anthony Blanco and Lorena Rhodes Blanco.

Barbara was a loving mother, sister, aunt and grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

The family requests that visitation be observed Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011, 6-9 p.m., with a rosary being recited at 7 p.m. at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City. Visitation will resume at Hargrave Funeral Home Friday, Dec. 30, at 8 a.m. until time of dismissal.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, Dec. 30, 2011, at 2 p.m. at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Berwick.
