A woman identified as 18-year-old Keyiona Chenevert was found dead from gunshot wounds inside an apartment on Three B’s Lane off Pluto Street in Bayou Vista Monday.
And, autopsy results are still pending, according to the St. Mary Parish coroner’s office.
Chenevert was found dead in an apartment on Three B’s Lane in Bayou Vista Monday afternoon, and a preliminary investigation indicates the woman died as a result of injuries consistent with gunshot wounds, according to a St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office press release.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to a 911 call at 2:20 p.m. Monday of an unresponsive subject in an apartment on Three B’s Lane off of Pluto Street in Bayou Vista.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered Chenevert in the apartment, the release stated.
Chenevert was pronounced dead at the scene by the St. Mary Parish Coroner.
