Franklin (14-14, 8-4) blew open the game in the second half with a huge 50-21 flurry. In the initial period, the Hornets secured a 16-10 first quarter lead. The Hornets padded their cushion to 30-17 at intermission. Franklin went on a 28-12 surge in the third stanza for a 58-24 advantage. Franklin strolled away with the convincing win with a 22-9 run in the fourth period for the 80-38 triumph.
Bell fired in his career-high 35 points on nine deuces, four treys and 5 of 7 free throws. Jarion Brown tossed in 14 points, making good on five deuces, one trey and 1 of 2 charity shots. Micheal Polidore and Cedric Paul pumped in 10 points apiece with Polidore draining a pair of deuces, one trey and 3 of 4 freebies while Paul drained five floor shots.
Rounding out the scoring for the Hornets were: Brennan Robinson, 5; Micheal Lee, 2; Jamal Johnson, 2 and Brandon McFarlane, 2.
Chas Russo led Berwick with 10 points.
Franklin will now wait on a possible berth in the state class 3-A playoffs after fininshing the season with a 14-14 overall record which included an 8-4 District 9-3A mark.
