Mr. and Mrs. Randall Benoit of Thibodaux wish to announce the engagement of their daughter, Monica Lynn Benoit to Joseph Michael Charpentier, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Charpentier of Franklin.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Joseph Benoit and the late Mr. Benoit and Mr. and Mrs. E.J. Plaisance of Thibodaux. She is a graduate of Thibodaux High School and will be graduating from Nicholls State University in May.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Darnell Charpentier and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Stirling of Franklin and the late Michael A. Burke Sr. He is a graduate of Hanson Memorial High School and Nicholls State University and is currently employed as a staff accountant with Bourgeois Bennett LLC in Houma.

The wedding ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 26 at Madewood Plantation in Napoleonville.
