Katie Hoffpauir, a member of the Berwick Acerz, served 25 consecutive points in one game of a match during the squad's participation in a tournament at Topshelf in Youngsville on March 3. During Hoffpauir's impressive serving run, the squad did not go through a rotation. Her mother and an assistant coach on the team, Angie Lancon, said that at least half the serves were aces. She said the other team returned the ball just twice. “This is unlike anything I have ever seen or heard of, and I played volleyball from seventh grade through 12th grade,” Lancon said. “Having this type of ability at 11 years old is remarkable, and I am extremely proud of her.” Hoffpauir has participated in volleyball for two years, and this is the first year she has played on a travel volleyball squad. Hoffpauir also is the daughter of Hanko Hoffpauir. (Submitted Photo/Courtesy of Angie Lancon)
