A car stolen from a Berwick residence was recovered and the person wanted in connection with the incident was arrested in Beaumont, Texas.

Anthony Gloskey, 51, of Nederland, Texas, was charged on the Berwick Police Department warrant for theft of a motor vehicle after it was stolen May 7, Berwick Police Chief James Richard said.

He was arrested by Jefferson County, Texas, Sheriff’s Office deputies and waived extradition to Louisiana. He was booked at the BPD jail Monday at 6:19 p.m., where he remained this morning with no bond set.

Elsewhere, Destiny James Landry, 36, of Leo Street in Patterson was charged with two counts of simple battery domestic violence, criminal damage to property, unauthorized entry and two counts of simple battery.

Chief Patrick LaSalle said Landry was arrested at his residence at 8:32 p.m. Monday, but the charges did not stem from warrants.

Landry remained incarcerated this morning with no bond set.

Chief Marc Folse of the Morgan City Police Department reported the following arrests:

—Gary L. Davis, 25, of La. 35, Abbeville, arrested Sunday at 11:10 p.m. in the emergency room of Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City for disturbing the peace. Still incarcerated pending bond payment of $481.

—Chad M. Bracamontes, 39, of Rayne Court, Morgan City, was arrested for hit-and-run driving; no arrest time was given. The accident only involved the suspect’s vehicle, but it caused damage to property, which consisted of a metal barrier protecting a fire hydrant and two small, planted trees. Booked into city jail and posted bond of $682.

—Robin Gilbert, 53, no home address given, arrested Monday at 10:22 a.m. on First Street for criminal trespassing and disturbing the peace intoxicated. Remains incarcerated pending the posting of bond of $612.
