BATON ROUGE – A photo shot at sunset at Flat Lake near Morgan City will be the Louisiana Bicentennial Stamp.

The U.S. Postal Service chose the image by noted outdoor photographer C.C. Lockwood.

The photograph was taken in 1976.

The stamp will go on sale April 30, 2012, anniversary of the day Louisiana became the 18th state 200 years ago.

The stamp is a “forever” stamp, meaning it will always reflect the value of regular first-class postage.
