MORGAN CITY — A big fourth-quarter helped Belle Chasse overcome Morgan City, 52-42, during girls’ basketball action Tuesday.

Belle Chasse broke a 38-all tie with a 14-4 fourth quarter scoring advantage to get the win.

The big quarter came after Morgan City had used a 14-6 third-quarter advantage to tie the game.

Casey Chenevert led Morgan City with 20 points, two rebounds, five steals and one assist, while Meya Morse added 11 points, one rebound and a steal.

Other top Morgan City contributors included Kaylyn Washington, seven points, one rebound and three steals, and Steveyion Walker, six rebounds, one block and an assist.

Morgan City (4-8) will return to action today when it travels to face East Ascension.
