He was chosen over five other candidates. One of those candidates was Aaron Meyers, a coach at Morgan City High.

Meyer was the second Morgan City coach mentioned as a candidate for a job in the Terrebonne\Lafourche area.

Two weeks ago, MCHS head coach/athletic director Brandon Nowlin was a candidate for the coaching vacancy at Central Lafourche.

But, Keith Menard, then-football coach at Catholic High-New Iberia, was announced as the head coach last week.
