Divers retrieved the body of Dominic Bradford, 24, from Bayou Rapides near Stracener Street in the city.
He had held the Boys & Girls Club post since Sept. 2011, when the club lost its United Way funding and moved out of its longtime home in the old city auditorium near the City _Park tennis courts and into new quarters in a former elementary school in South Alexandria.
The United Way pulled its $50,000 citing accountability issues with the management at the time.
