Mr. and Mrs. Robert “Bob” Broussard of Centerville were honored April 30 at a surprise 50th anniversary reception at the Forest Restaurant in Franklin. Hosting the event were the couple’s children and their spouses, Kelly and Bill Lamunyon, Jody Broussard, Christy and Carl Istre, Randy and Shayna Broussard, and Patrick Broussard. The Rev. O’Neil Landry, who performed the couple’s wedding ceremony on May 10, 1961, blessed the couple at the celebration. The anniversary celebrants also have nine grandchildren. Olan Mills photo
