BUNKIE – A man who had allegedly earlier threatened them is charged with the attempted murder of four people.

Police said Morris Dorsey, 45, turned himself in to face the four counts of attempted first degree murder.

He allegedly shot a woman aged 38, two teenage women and an 11-year-old boy. Police have not yet released the names of the victims or note any relationship between them or to Dorsey.

Police were called to a residence about 7:30 a.m. on March 20 for a reported disturbance. They were informed that a man identified as Dorsey was threatening harm to others inside.

Two hours later, they were back at the house, after being told Dorsey was armed with a machete and a pistol and threatening people. The man fled before officers arrive.

At 8:30 that night, a call from the residence said people in the house had been shot.

A warrant was issued for Dorsey.
