St. Mary Community Action Agency will begin to re-register persons who are currently receiving commodities (food boxes) and would like to continue receiving them.

According to Almetra J. Franklin, CEO, all eligible residents must bring in proof of income which can be in the form of a check stub or bank statement; Social Security award letter, or a letter from bank with total monthly income for 2011.

The re-registering process begins now and will end on Sept. 2. Eligible persons must be over the age of 60 or a mother with a child five years of age or younger. Also, if residents receive commodities/food boxes from other sources, they cannot receive any from St. Mary CAA.

Please contact St. Mary Community Action Agency at (337) 828-5703 for any questions or further information.
