CENTERVILLE – The Centerville Bulldogs improved to 54-35 victory over the Episcopal School of Acadiana Falcons here Tuesday at the Centerville High School Gym.

Centerville rolled to a 17-12 first quarter lead before securing a 34-16 cushion at the half, thanks to a 17-4 second quarter spurt.

Centerville used a 20-19 second half advantage to subdue the Falcons, earning the 54-35 triumph to move to 3-0 on the season.

ESA dropped to 2-1 on the season following the loss to the CHS Bulldogs. Centerville

Jerome Williams and Juwan Thomas led the Bulldogs in scoring with 14 and 12 points respectively.

Williams knocked down five deuces, one trey and 1 of 2 free throws for his 14 points.

Thomas made good on six deuces for his 12 points.

Rounding out the scoring for the Bulldogs were: Jumanji Washington, 9; Rodney Harris, 8; Zacchaeus Jackson, 7; Rodrick Harris, 2 and Quinton Nettles, 2.

Jordan Kyles led ESA in scoring with 10 points.

On the night, the Bulldogs connected on 23 deuces, two treys and 2 of 10 free throws.

Centerville (3-0) will travel to Grand Isle Tuesday.

ESA (2-1) plays Madison Prep on Thursday in the Bishop McManus Tournament.
