NEW IBERIA _ Pitcher Ashton Landry hurled the Centerville Lady Bulldogs to 17-0 season-opening victory over Assembly Christian here Tuesday.

Landry (1-0) recorded the mound victory, tossing three shutout innings while surrendering only two hits, striking out six and walking one.

Leading hitters for the Centerville Lady Bulldogs were: Ashton Landry, 3 runs; Rylie Candella, 3 runs; Lacy LaGrange, 1 for 1, 2 runs; Taylor Saucier - 2 for 3, 1 run; Rachel LeBlanc, run; Victoria Theriot, 1 for 3, 2 runs; Kennan Stelly, 1 for 2, 2 runs; Paige Pellerin, run and Courtney Landry, 1 for 1, 2 runs.

In Saturday’s Franklin High Jamboree, the Centerville Lady Bulldogs posted wins over Hanson (3-1) and Franklin High (4-3).

Centerville (1-0) will host the White Castle Lady Bulldogs on Thursday at 4 p.m.
