Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 25, 2012, at 1 p.m., at Ibert’s Mortuary for Crystal Chauvin Broussard, 55, a native of Franklin and resident of Baldwin, who passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2012, at 6:30 p.m., at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. Deacon Gerald Bourg will officiate the service.
Crystal was a longtime CAN and private sitter who enjoyed taking care of other people. She loved spending time with her family and friends and will be deeply missed by all that knew her.
Survivors include her two sons, Eric Broussard and his wife, Kimberly Robison Broussard, of Franklin and Dwayne Broussard and his wife, Monnette Haydel Broussard, of Ashton; five grandchildren, Brittney, Brennan, Brant, Brock and Bryson Broussard; her mother, Sylvia Frederick DeMahy of Franklin; six siblings, Midge Fulmer, Vanessa Soprano, Brad Frederick, Tessie Frederick, Lee DeMahy and Kayla Tyler; her former husband, Preston “Junior” Broussard of Baldwin; her companion, Lonnie Boudreaux of Baldwin, as well as her stepbrothers, stepsister, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, William “Bill” DeMahy; one sister, Rhonda Loustalot; and one niece, Ceaira DeMahy.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday at Ibert’s Mortuary from 10 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m.
