MORGAN CITY — Morgan City Junior High School will host its first Cancer Walk-A-Thon from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Tiger Stadium track.

The cost to participate is $20 and also includes a T-shirt and a meal of jambalaya, dessert and a drink.

Late registration will be taken Saturday at the stadium.

Proceeds from the event benefit the Miles Perret Cancer Services/Sallie Astor Burdine Foundation in partnership with OncoLogics.

MCJHS thanks the community for its donations.
