Funeral services will be held Thursday, Nov. 3, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Ibert’s Mortuary in Patterson for Mrs. Carol Jean Myers Gunther, 67, a Crowley native and longtime resident of Patterson, who passed away Monday, Oct. 31, 2011, at 12:50 p.m. at Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City. Burial will follow in Ibert’s Memorial Park Cemetery. Fr. Angelo Cremaldi will officiate the services.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Lawrence L. Gunther of Patterson; one son, Rickey J. Gunther of Patterson; one granddaughter, Alexis Gunther of Berwick; one brother, Jerry Myers and his wife Ruby of Crowley; and a close family friend, Christie Bailey and her children, Charli, Shelbi, B.J. and Joei, all of Patterson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey Theodore Myers and Lillie Mae Simar Myers.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday at Ibert’s Mortuary from 10 a.m. until time of service.
