THE CATHOLIC DAUGHTERS of the Americas, Court Sacre’ Coeur 2572 sent best wishes and Christmas gifts to Landon Meyerholtz, one of the court’s past CDA Kids. Above, Regent Bernice M. Broussard presented the gifts to Landon. Landon is seven years old and in the second grade at St. John Elementary. CDA Kids is a program established by National Catholic Daughters of the Americas, which encourages state and local Catholic Daughters participation. The program is open to all children ages 12 and under with life-threatening illnesses such as cancer. The Court assists and supports the family in whatever capacity deemed necessary. Landon has managed to beat the odds with his illness and the Court’s prayers and support will always be there for their miracle child. The Court asks for prayers for their current CDA Kid, Anthony Perez, and prays for a miracle for him as well. The Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court Sacre’ Coeur 2572 also presented food certificates to three families for Christmas. Iris Drexler, a member of the Gift Certificate Committee, is pictured below. The Court’s next food certificate distribution will be for Easter.
