CARROLL AND JUDY MENARD of Charenton celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sunday, September 4. They were married September 4, 1961 at Immaculate Conception Church in Charenton. The Menards are the parents of Toby Menard of Wassenaar, The Netherlands and the late Troy Menard of Shreveport. They are the grandparents of Sara and Scott Menard of Shreveport, both students at LSU Baton Rouge and Libby, Maggie and Peter Menard of Wassenaar, students at American School of The Hague. The couple was honored with a reception on Saturday, July 16 at The Forest Restaurant in Franklin, hosted by their son Toby and his wife Charlotte Simpson Menard during their visit to the states. Among those attending was their daughter-in-law Michelle Menard of Shreveport. Mrs. Menard is the former Judy Soprano of Charenton.
