Centerville too much for Hope Academy

Eleven Centerville Bulldogs players dented the scoring column Friday as CHS defeated Hope Academy 95-49.

Centerville (6-7) was led in scoring by Laroy Gant with 22 points on 11 deuces. Rodrick Taylor tossed in 20 points, knocking down seven deuces and a pair of treys. Zacchaeus Jackson canned eight field goals for 16 points while Jumanji Washington bagged 10 points on one trey, a trio of deuces and 1 of 3 charity shots. Other top scorers for the Bulldogs were: Jaric McDaniel, 7; Quinton Nettles, 6; Juwan Thomas, 4; Dylan Burgess, 4; Dontre Austin, 2; Cameron Pogue, 2 and Devin Pontiff, 2.

Anthony Mury scored a game-high 27 points to lead Hope Academy.

Centerville (6-7) will play host to Franklin on Tuesday beginning at 5:30 p.m.
