—Dillon Boudreaux, 21, of La. 56 in Chauvin, was arrested at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday for theft after a deputy responded to a complaint of a shoplifter at Walmart in Bayou Vista. The deputy learned from store security that Boudreaux was taking items from the shelves and then going to the customer service desk to get a refund for the items. He was released after posting $1,000 bail.
—Emilie Businelle, 19, of Superior Lane in Morgan City, was arrested at 7:40 p.m. Tuesday on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of marijuana. A deputy responded to a complaint of a woman walking in the roadway on La. 182 in Bayou Vista. The deputy observed a female cross the roadway and then stumbled. While speaking with her, the deputy was advised by dispatch of the warrant for her arrest. Businelle remained jailed this morning with a $750 bail.
—James M. Cato, 29, of St. Ann Street in Schriever, was arrested at 8:57 p.m. Tuesday for simple battery, disturbing the peace intoxicated and resisting an officer with force. A deputy learned from Amelia Belle Casino security personnel that Cato repeatedly used inappropriate language at one of the gaming tables. A verbal altercation then began between Cato and another casino patron. The altercation escalated to a physical encounter when Cato struck the male victim. Cato remained jailed this morning. No bail set.
Morgan City Assistant Chief Glenn Blanco reported the following arrests:
—Donna Marie Davidson, 53, of Morgan City, was arrested at 4:08 p.m. Tuesday at So9lar Apartments on possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police received a complaint of drug trafficking at Solar Apartments. Officers responded to that address, spoke with a man, informed him of the complaint and were given consent to search.
Officers located two females within the apartment. Each female was patted down for officer safety. A crack pipe was found in Davidson’s possession.
Davidson remained jailed this morning on $742 bail. No other illegal narcotics or paraphernalia was located in the apartment.
—Seth Fryou, 20, of Grand Caillou Road in Houma, was arrested at 8:11 a.m. Tuesday for simple burglary of inhabited dwelling, simple criminal damage to property and contributing to the delinquency of juveniles.
Officers received a complaint of a burglary at 305 Eighth St. The victim said he returned home to find damage to his door and found that a grinder was missing from his closet. Officers developed Fryou and a juvenile as the suspects by speaking with people in the area. Fryou’s vehicle was located by a Morgan City reserve officer in the area of Ditch Avenue and Eighth Street.
Fryou directed officers to a grinder fitting the description of the one stolen, while giving several different accounts of how the grinder came to be in his vehicle, all of which involved the 16-year-old male. The stolen property was returned to its rightful owner.
Fryou remained jailed this morning with no bail set.
—Arrested with Fryou was a 16-year-old male who was charged with simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling and simple criminal damage to property. The juvenile was released to a guardian.
— Burnell Albert Narcisse, 45, of Keith Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 11:23 a.m. Tuesday for resisting an officer.
Officers responded to a complaint at 2404 Apple St. reporting Narcisse on the property. Officers later located Narcisse at his residence where he was told not to return to Apple Street and not to drive as he was observed to be intoxicated. Officers later saw him back his vehicle out of his driveway, exit it and get into the passenger’s seat.
He remained jailed this morning in lieu of $492 bond.
—Brennan Forman, 20, of Susan Court in Morgan City, was arrested at 9:47 p.m. Tuesday for failure to appear on the charge of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile and on a hold for St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Berwick police attempted to stop a vehicle Forman was driving in Berwick, but he didn’t stop until he entered Morgan City’s jurisdiction.
Forman was wanted by the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office on outstanding warrants also. He remained jailed this morning in lieu of $1,500 bail.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported no arrests.
