Several Louisiana State Parks will be opening their swimming pools for the summer in just a few weeks.

The pools are scheduled to open Memorial Day weekend. Officials will then close the pools for a few days for maintenance before resuming a regular schedule.

Beginning May 25, the pools at Chicot State Park and North Toledo Bend State Park will be available for public use.

The pool at Chicot State Park will open Wednesday through Sunday from 10:00 A. M until 4:00 P. M. After June 11, the pool will be open Tuesday through Sunday.

The pool at North Toledo Bend will be open every Wednesday through Sunday from 10:00 A. M. until 6:00 P. M. Patrons must pay a $1.00 fee to swim.

In addition, Lake Fausse Point in St. Martin Parish and Palmetto Island in Vermilion Parish have water playgrounds for children. Those playgrounds will be open daily from 8:00 A. M. until 8:00 P.M.
