A large crowd gathered Sunday evening to watch Dominick Sheldon, left, and Jayden Watson, both 4, officially turn on the Christmas lights on an outdoor tree at Patterson City Hall. Children, such as Jayden Harvey, were excited to see Santa arrive via fire truck. Santa greeted children, including 22-month-old Braylee Breaux, while handing out treats. Everyone was treated to hot chocolate and Christmas carols. Watson is the son of Heather Citrano and Eric Watson Jr. Sheldon is the son of Shannon Sallie. Both are residents of Patterson that are special education students at Bayou Vista Elementary. Breaux is the daughter of Asia and Jason Breaux.
