The Morgan City Council has begun the process to condemn a vacant section of the Guarisco-Evans Shopping Center between Medicine Shoppe and Mike’s Flooring & Paint, whose owner, city officials said, has not made repairs after complaints were lodged with the city by customers. The owner, Anthony Guarisco Jr. of Baton Rouge, has been notified of the pending action as well as a special council meeting that will be held Nov. 8 to take up any appeal by Guarisco on the city’s looming action.
