CFA will present a Leader in Philanthropy Award to outstanding philanthropists in each of its eight parish service-areas who have created an impact in their communities.
R.E. “Bob” Miller of St. Mary Parish is among the honorees.
Miller, founder and president of Major Equipment & Remediation, has been chosen to receive the award for his long-term philanthropic commitment to the improvement of his community. For more than 30 years, Miller has committed his time, talents and resources to community organizations and events hosted in St. Mary Parish, as well as other communities.
Miller has served on boards for various business and charitable organizations including the API Atchafalaya Chapter, St. Mary Industrial Group, the Lakewood Foundation, Teche Regional Medical Center and the Atchafalaya River Coalition. Among many contributions, he has generously established a scholarship fund for the honors program at Nicholls State University.

Keynote speaker Todd Graves, founder and CEO of Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, will speak to attendees about sustaining a successful entrepreneurial business while upholding a strong philanthropic mission. CFA will honor outstanding philanthropists from across Acadiana and review the year’s goals and accomplishments.
